Where to Go

Headed to Orlando? Here Are 5 Fun Spots for Your “Things To Do List”

Get ready for adventures beyond the theme parks

The Vacationeer

Ask any adventure seeker how they're planning to get their adrenaline fix while visiting Orlando and they'll likely mention roller coasters. But Central Florida is home to more than just theme parks. From pulse-raising things to do to where to stay, Hilton Grand Vacations shares our top Orlando picks that take you beyond theme parks.

Tree Trek Adventure Park

Unleash your American Ninja Warrior inside at Tree Trek Adventure Park, where you can test your courage and strength on an elevated obstacle course nestled in a pine forest ten to sixty feet above the ground.

The course features include a 425-foot giant zipline, 97 aerial challenges, suspended bridges, Tarzan swings and more.

There are also two separate children's courses featuring 21 kid-friendly challenges.

Orlando Balloon Rides

Fly sky-high over Orlando's vast landscape by way of a hot air balloon. Take in the views of theme parks, downtown skyline, orange groves, lakes and forests, from a whole new perspective during this one-hour flight.

Ground yourself, post-flight by enjoying a champagne toast. We recommend the sunrise ride to be the first to say, "good morning, Orlando."

Wekiwa Springs State Park

Leave the crowds behind while you discover the unspoiled beauty of natural Florida. A local gem, Wekiwa Springs State Park is a 7,000-acre park located 20 minutes north of Orlando. Adventure seekers can enjoy swimming and snorkeling in crystal-clear water, fishing, kayaking, canoeing and horseback riding.

Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures

Race through the Everglades located just south of Orlando aboard a speeding airboat while spotting native birds, turtles and alligators in their natural environment. Climb aboard an airboat that will glide you across mossy cypress swamps filled with local critters.

Up the adventure with a night tour. You may even come face to face with some of nature's nocturnal hunters, including the American alligator.

ATV Off-Road Adventure

Revolution Off-Road is a chance to get dirty. Less than 25 miles east of Orlando, you'll explore 230 acres of tracks and trails tailored for ATVs. There are also archery ranges and bass fishing spots. With the choice of guided and unguided ATV tours, riders will enjoy two hours of exciting trail time.

More than just ATVs, Revolution Off-Road is also home to the “Mighty Duck.”

The "Mighty Duck" is an eight-wheel amphibious vehicle that allows a driver plus three passengers to explore the lakes and ponds and offers reprieve from the Florida weather.

Pro-tip: Pack a towel and a change of clothes. You're welcome.

Stay: As the top U.S. vacation destination, welcoming over 75 million travelers a year, Orlando boasts four Hilton Grand Vacations resorts, and there's a property for every travel style.
