The Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions is a highly anticipated event for golf fans like me and my son, Aidan. It’s no secret that we enjoy golf vacations. Here are five things we enjoyed about our time in Orlando.

1. The Challenging Golf Course

The Lake Nona Golf & Country Club in Orlando is known for its challenging layout and well-manicured fairways. It’s the perfect venue for a world-class golf tournament like the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions.

The course provided a stern test for the top golfers in the world, such as Annika Sörenstam and the LPGA champions, making the tournament even more exciting for fans and spectators.

2. The Beautiful Surroundings

Lake Nona is surrounded by lush vegetation, crystal-clear waters and breathtaking views of the surrounding area, making it a truly stunning setting for the tournament. It was a memorable experience whether we were watching the action on the course or just enjoying the scenery.

3. The High Level Of Competition

With some of the best golfers, celebrities and athletes in the world competing for a substantial prize purse, the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions provided a high level of competition that was exciting to watch. The players brought their A-game, making for great golf throughout the tournament.

4. The Additional Events And Activities

In addition to the main tournament, there were other events and activities for us to enjoy. These included enjoying live music, tasting the food and beverage options and browsing official tournament merchandise vendors. We attended an Ellie Goulding concert* in the evening, followed by a DJ set from Paris Hilton.

There were also opportunities to meet and interact with the celebrity players, making the tournament a truly memorable experience. We got to meet Michael Ray, which I’d never get to do in an everyday setting. We also got selfies with Alfonso Ribeiro, Michael Peña and Larry the Cable Guy.

The Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions had a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, making it an excellent event for golf fans of all ages. We had a ton of fun exploring everything the tournament offered.

For golf fans, this is a must-see event. With top-level competition, beautiful surroundings, a variety of things to do and HGV’s signature hospitality, it's no wonder that the tournament is one of the most highly anticipated events on the LPGA Tour. Join the fun in Orlando, January 15–21, 2024.
